In light of COVID-19’s impacts, there are many factors that may impact events. Some performances may need to be rescheduled or canceled entirely.  We recognize that your lives are also subject o unexpected changes as the situation evolves and are responding by adjusting our ticket policies for the upcoming 2020–21 academic year.

We are committed to the health and safety of our artists, students, patrons, and staff and will accommodate ticket exchanges and refunds, should you be unable to safely attend an event. If an event needs to be rescheduled or canceled, we will inform you as soon as possible, providing you with the option of a ticket exchange, donation, or refund (less applicable fees).

Age Restrictions
All events are all ages unless otherwise indicated. With the exception of specified family events, children under five are discouraged from attending events and are not allowed at ArtPower events. Everyone must purchase a ticket, regardless of age.

Currency and Payment Methods
All ticket prices and fees are listed in U.S. currency. UC San Diego accepts the following methods of payment: American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Cash, and Travelers Checks (with ID). The Box Office does not accept personal checks.

Discount Tickets/Offers
A valid UC San Diego ID is required at the time of purchase for student, staff, and faculty discount tickets and offers. Purchase must be made by the person the ID was issued to and cannot be used by someone else. It is recommended to bring your UC San Diego ID to the event as it may be required for entry. Discounts and special offers must be requested at the time of purchase and cannot be applied retroactively.

Ticket Limits
When purchasing tickets, you are limited to a specified number of tickets for each event (also known as a “ticket limit”). The number of tickets you can purchase is verified with every transaction. This policy is in effect to discourage unfair ticket buying practices, also ensuring UC San Diego students have equal access to discount or free tickets to specific events. Please adhere to the published ticket limits. We reserve the right to cancel any or all orders and tickets without notice if you exceed the published limits. This includes orders associated with the same name, student PID, e-mail address, billing address, credit card number or other information.

Order Confirmation: Online/Phone Orders
If you do not receive a confirmation number (in the form of a confirmation page or email) after submitting payment, or if you experience an error message or service interruption after submitting payment, please contact the Box Office at ticketing@ucsd.edu or 858.534.8497 to confirm whether or not your order has been placed. Tickets purchased “accidentally” or otherwise in error are non-refundable.

Service Fees
All tickets are subject to applicable per ticket and facility fees. Additional fees apply for selected delivery methods, reprints and eligible exchanges.

Changed, Canceled, and Postponed Events
Artists and programs are subject to change without notice. Refunds are issued only in the case of event cancellation or postponement. Order processing and delivery fees are not refundable. Order processing and delivery fees are not refunded in order to cover the cost of processing your original order. In the event of a performance cancellation or postponement, the Box Office will make every effort to notify you in advance. The UC San Diego Box Office will not be responsible for losses (monetary or otherwise) if we are unable to contact you in the event of performance cancellation or postponement. For cancelled events, we will automatically issue a refund to the credit card or debit card that was used to purchase that ticket. Tickets purchased with cash must be returned to the point of purchase for a refund.

Ticket Transfer
To request an alternate pickup for tickets you’ve already bought, please contact the Box Office at boxoffice@ucsd.edu or 858.534.8497 during normal business hours Monday through Friday, from 10 am to 4 pm. We cannot transfer tickets after business hours or at the event. Only the original purchaser can request to transfer tickets and the alternate person picking up the tickets may be required to present a photo ID, the order number, and a photocopy of the front and back of the credit card used to purchase the tickets (black out all but the last four digits of your account number). Some events and high-demand shows may have policies that prohibit the transfer of tickets.

Ticket Resale
For any ticket(s) purchased through UC San Diego Box Office website, the ticket purchaser understands that resale of such ticket(s) is subject to federal, state and local laws and regulations related to such. Any violation of such laws may result in prosecution of ticket purchaser by such agency or other party. UC San Diego Box Office assumes no liability for tickets purchased or resold through unauthorized channels. We highly recommend that you purchase tickets directly through our website boxoffice.ucsd.edu, authorized partners, or from the venue box office to ensure ticket authenticity.

Subject to Search/Prohibited Items
Some events may require you and your belongings may be searched on entry. You consent to such searches and waive any related claims that may arise. If you elect not to consent to such searches, you may be denied entry to the event without refund or other compensation. Under certain facility rules, certain items may not be brought into the premises, including without limitation, alcohol, drugs & drug paraphernalia, controlled substances, weapons, outside food or beverages, professional cameras and recording devices, selfie sticks, laser pointers, strobe lights, irritants (e.g., artificial noisemakers), and large containers. Most events have a no reentry policy.

Late Arrival
Latecomers will be admitted or seated at the sole discretion of the management. Some events require you to wait until an appropriate break in the performance to be seated. Latecomers denied seating may not be eligible for a refund.

Ticket Validation/Venue Entry/Ejection
Your ticket is only valid for the event, date, time, and seat printed on the ticket. Barcoded tickets are scanned and validated at the point of venue entry. The barcode allows only one entry per scan and all subsequent scans will fail. Attempting to use a ticket that has already been scanned, duplicated, counterfeited, or stolen may prevent your entry to the event. At management’s discretion, a ticket holder may be denied entry or removed from an event. A ticket is a revocable license and admission may be refused upon refunding the ticket’s face amount. No refund will be provided if the ticket holder is refused admission and/or removed as a result of disorderly conduct including vulgar or abusive language, failing to abide by any applicable laws, and/or failing to adhere to applicable University policies or conditions.
